The Lily Project was set up to support women and female young adults in Nottingham with mental health needs through counselling services. We work with women and young adult females from all backgrounds; ethnicities and communities but specialise in the female Muslim community.

The Lily Project represents a transformation of heart and mind; a pure journey that starts and end with self, irrespective of circumstances or life experiences.

The project symbolises fresh life and starting over whilst embracing and strengthening who we are as individuals.

At The Lily Project we work in a Person – Centred way. This means that we do not direct your sessions (which means we do not give you advice) because we firmly believe that each person is the expert on themselves. However, we do give you a safe space and regular time to explore your thoughts and feelings and we are great listeners.

We offer sessions in English and our face- to- face counselling sessions are carried out from our offices in West Bridgford or Basford and work across all areas of mental health needs whilst being aware of cultural expectations and limitations as a frame of reference.

Please read through our Frequently Asked Questions to understand if The Lily Project is right for you.
